Chanel Resort 2012 Presentation
Celeb Style Icons assembled in the French Riviera to celebrate the Chanel Resort 2012 Collection. Festivities started the night before at a dinner honouring Karl Lagerfeld, with the fashion show the next day. Of course, all these stylish stars were dressed in Chanel.

| Alexa Chung is demure in a smokey grey short-sleeve dress with black Chanel flats. I prefer her look when compared to the runway. The next day, she chose a soft pink Spring 2011 dress with delicate floral appliqués and a tattered hem. Her shoes are by Louis Vuitton. It's nice to see that Alexa always picks comfort over ridiculously high heels. |
Blake Lively

| Karl Lagerfeld's current muse, Blake Lively was dressed in a black sequined blazer, white embellished top and draped mini skirt, which is far shorter on her than the runway model. Her heels are by Christian Louboutin. I prefer her with blonde hair. At the dinner event, Blake wore a frothy white dress and bolero ensemble, with nude Louboutins. This look does not translate well off the runway. It's too much. |
Vanessa Paradis and Clemence Poesy

| Johnny Depp's significant other Vanessa Paradis was glamorous in a sparkly black jumpsuit with deep V-neckline. She accessorized with strappy nude sandals, a black bag and gold cuffs. Rising French star, Clemence Poesy opted for a yellow tweed V-neck dress with finely feathered skirt. She paired it with a nude clutch and matching heels. At least her YSL sandals are better than those on the runway, as is her subtle make-up. |
Rachel Bilson

| Leave it to Rachel Bilson to bring her own flair to the fashion front. Unlike other stars who wore outfits directly off the Chanel runway, Rachel knows how to mix things up. At the dinner, Rachel looked chic in a dark grey tweed coat and black dress. She kept it fresh with a coral hat. At the fashion show, Rachel combined separates from 2 different Chanel collections. She wore a shimmery sleeveless top, paired with black leather shorts and a blazer. Her shoes on both occasions are by Christian Louboutin. |
