Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2012

The orange carpet was rolled out at the Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles this weekend, honouring the best young talent in Hollywood. The style vibe was cool and youthful, with short dresses and vivid shades the order of the day.

Bright Stars

Keke Palmer was twirled in a metallic purple Marco Marco dress with folded ruffle skirt. A striped Judith Leiber clutch and black Louboutin pumps completed her look.

Katy Perry was lurid and loud in a neon green ensemble by Gerlan Jeans, which included a slime-drip top and flashy print skirt. Katy splashed on even more colour with florescent green Prada heels and blue and purple ponytail.

Nickelodeon's Ana Mulvoy looked charming in a simple azure blue dress, decked with colourful beaded necklaces. She counteracted the sweetness of this look with spiked ankle-strap heels.

Daniella Monet wore a vivid pink cap-sleeved dress, elevated by multi-strap pink platforms.

Jada Pinkett Smith opted for a casual outfit, wearing a voluminous cerise pink silk jumpsuit by Catherine Malandrino. For an even more relaxed angle, Jada put on a cropped denim jacket and animal print wedges by Jimmy Choo.

Whipped Cream

Award winner Taylor Swift was delightful in an off-white Maria Lucia Hohan halter-neck dress with satin-strapped bodice and wispy chiffon skirt. A pair of gorgeous gold Nicholas Kirkwood sandals adorned her feet.

A blonder Emma Stone looked elegant in a neutral two-toned Antonio Berardi dress with intricately draped skirt. Her nude Alejandro Ingelmo ankle-strap sandals felt too vanilla.

Selena Gomez bowled the crowd over in a sexy little number by Dolce & Gabbana. She stunned in an ivory silk jacquard bustier top and multi-tonal metallic embellished skirt. For a playful touch, Selena added a pair of bright pink and orange Cesare Paciotti pumps.

Ariel Winter looked graceful in a sleeveless white lattice Cynthia Rowley frock with fluted skirt. Side swept hair and black Aldo pumps finished off her outfit.

Tween Queens

Willow Smith piled on the accessories in an attempt to amp up her simple white Chanel dress and black fringed boots. It maybe fun and fearless, but sometimes too much is too much.

Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka did the exact opposite, opting for an uncluttered and simplistic look with a white neck-bow shift dress, nude ballet flats and high bun.

Willow Shields (The Hunger Games) looked adorable and age-appropriate in a bright pink tank top, paired with a Normandy blue night bird taffeta skirt by Marc by Marc Jacobs. She walked in silver flats.

Disney's China Anne McClain was one of very few stars who opted to wear pants. The actress teamed a pair of white skinny jeans with a caramel coloured jacket, lace-up two-tone shoes and a silver statement necklace.

Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games) went for a twinkly look, choosing a black and gold sequined Tony Ward dress with yellow belt and metallic gold brogues by Kate Spade.

Blue Belles

Nickelodeon's Gracie Dzienny posed in a sparkly blue and black mini with matching ankle strap sandals.

Kristen Stewart was demure in a royal blue long-sleeved lace dress with satin waistband by Stella McCartney. Her lighter shaded blue heels are by Barbara Bui.

Miranda Cosgrove looked polished in a cobalt blue leather dress by Porter Grey. Black Stella McCartney ankle boots and gold Kara Akerman bracelets aided her ensemble.

Isabelle Fuhrman wore a blue and white petal print outfit courtesy of Jason Wu, with sheer embellished-collar blouse and belted shorts. Black Casadei wedges were her choice of heels.

Nickelodeon actress Halston Sage chose a glittery and fitted two-shaded blue dress, paired with sapphire satin pumps.

All About Orange

Ashley Tisdale looked lovely in a coral Kymerah sheer strapless dress with printed underskirt and asymmetrical hemline. Ashley defined her waist with a wide black belt and stood in fringed Brian Atwood sandals.

Sarah Hyland was vibrant in a tangerine v-neck wrapover Myne dress, with knee-high slit. Strappy Cesare Paciotti sandals and a shiny gold Kotur clutch compliment her outfit.

The Suite Life's Alyson Stoner looked beautiful and all grown-up in strapless apricot orange empire waist gown with gold collar neckpiece.

Victoria Justice tried on a tomboy look by Elizabeth & James, made up of a peachy orange blazer and shorts set, with white blouse and grey lace embellished boots by Valentino.

Disney star Madison Pettis picked out a shapely colour-blocked tangerine and orange mini, with a matching pair of peep-toes.

Another Disney favourite, Jennifer Stone also went for a two-shaded orange outfit, hers in tangelo with asymmetrical sleeve and marigold belt and heels.

In Black & White

Kelly Osbourne donned a black one shouldered Tony Ward frock with flair textured skirt and a dashing pair of hot pink Giuseppe Zanotti heels. I'm not so bothered with the lilac hair here.

Karina Smirnoff showed off her toned pins in a lace embroidered Ema Savahl dress with lovely two-tone bow bedecked sandals.

Disney's Kelsey Chow was engaging in a cosmic print mini dress with unevenly tiered skirt. A black clutch and apple green suede pumps complete her cute outfit.

Heidi Klum opted for a minimal look, wearing a high-neck, long-sleeved mini dress by Roland Mouret, along with a sassy pair of thigh-high grey suede boots.
